The Brennan House is the last historic residence in downtown Louisville. The evolution of the neighborhood and city itself follows the same pattern as many other urban areas. What is interesting about this house, is that the family stayed. Unlike all of the other families that once lived on their block, the Brennans decided to adapt to the changing environment and stay in their beloved home. Furthermore, the Brennans were preservation-minded and ensured that their home would be cared for long after their deaths. This is rare and makes the Brennan House a true gem.
